Justin formed his first specialized backflow calibration company in 2017, quickly expanding to manage 90% of the backflow calibrations across Atlantic Canada. Brookside Backflow & Calibration is the second specialized company he has operated, continuing a long-standing commitment to backflow and gauge excellence.

Following its establishment in 2017, the first company achieved remarkable growth through precision and reliability. Within years, we expanded to manage 90% of all backflow calibrations across the entire Atlantic Canada market, setting a gold standard for regional service excellence.
Arbiter Partnership & Transition
Our journey reached a significant milestone by forming a strategic relationship with Arbiter Backflow, becoming Canada's first Mako distributor. In 2021, Justin chose to step back to focus on family and professional growth, laying the groundwork for the eventual launch of Brookside Backflow & Calibration.
Returning Better Than Ever
He chose to step back in 2021 to focus on family and career changes, but after many requests from past clients decided to rebuild better than ever. Thus, Brookside Backflow & Calibration was born, bringing a renewed dedication to precision instrumentation repair across Atlantic Canada.
Built on 20 Years of Expertise
Justin has been in the plumbing and heating industry for 20 years. Along with his plumbing and calibration expertise, he has also spent several years as a medical gas technician working with cryogenic fluids, and currently works as a Class 2 wastewater operator for the most advanced wastewater recovery facility in Atlantic Canada.
